If you’ve ever wanted to learn to sew but found you haven’t got the time or knowledge, PINKfudge are pleased to offer academic UK sewing courses to the general public.
Learn the basics from a professional team of experts with one of our academic training courses, guaranteed to provide enough technical knowledge so you feel confident in manufacturing your own products.
KNOW YOUR SEWING MACHINE
This course is designed for beginners an offers training on the following:
- Threading your machine
- Winding a bobbin
- Changing a needle
- Starting and stopping of your machine
- Tension control
- Different stitches
- Seams and hems
This course is available Wednesday 6.30-8.30pm at PINKfudge Headquarters. £30 per session.
SEWING COURSES
Once you’ve mastered the basics of your sewing machine, you may wish to enrol on our 10-week sewing course. This course offers training in:
- Further operation of your sewing machine
- Knowledge in sewing patterns
- Understanding of fabrics
- Sewing methods and techniques
- Undertaking a sewing project of your choice.
All course literature will be provided.
This course is TERM TIME ONLY and available:
Tuesdays – 10am-12pm / 6.30- 8.30pm
Wednesdays – 10am- 12pm
Thursdays – 10am-12pm / 2-4pm
WORKING WITH STRETCH FABRIC
If you’ve ever wanted to design and create your own range of swimwear fitness wear or athleisure wear this course will provide you with the knowledge and understanding of the following:
- Stretch fabrics
- Technical fabrics and its related uses
- Patterning for stretch fabric
- Completing spec sheets
- Costing, pricing and profit margins
- Commercial work experience
- Dye sublimation
